SEA.AI announces that its machine vision technology will be featured at the upcoming “Single-handed around the World” (“En Solitaire autour du Monde”) exhibition at the Musée national de la Marine (National Maritime Museum in Paris). This temporary exhibition, opening on October 16, 2024, celebrates the daring spirit of solo sailing, the human adventure of this race and the technological advancements that support sailors on their solitary journeys across the world’s oceans. It takes place on the occasion of the tenth edition of the Vendée Globe (2024-2025).
The “En Solitaire autour du Monde” exhibition is curated by Lénaïg L’Aot-Lombart, assistant to the administrator of the Musée national de la Marine-Château de Brest, Olivier Le Carrer, navigator and former editor-in-chief of the magazine Bateaux, and Didier Ravon, navigator and former editor-in-chief of the magazine Voiles et Voiliers.
The exhibition highlights the extraordinary achievements of sailors who navigate the seas alone. The exhibition focuses on the courage, resilience, and innovation required for solo sailing, making it the ideal venue to showcase SEA.AI—a technology developed with the invaluable contributions of skippers, who helped create the critical dataset necessary for its AI to detect floating objects and hazards.
